After recording a hat trick on February 24, 1982 versus the Buffalo Sabres, Wayne Gretzky broke the NHL record for most goals in a regular season with 77. Hall of Famer Phil Espoito had held the record with 76 goals in a season since 1981. Phil was on hand in Buffalo to present Wayne the game puck after breaking this record. Wayne ended the 1982 season with 92 goals, a record that still stands to this day. This original painting of Wayne Gretzky captures the press conference after the game with Phil Espoito at the podium. This 12” x 9.75” signed painting is a one of one and has been signed in silver pen. Gretzky’s signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process. Don’t miss your opportunity to own this one of a kind piece of Upper Deck memorabilia!
